AQGD Villa is an expansion project of a pre-existing restaurant that had been previously renovated by S+S Architects. The renovation involved converting a three-story townhome building into a butcher shop, omakase room, and an administrative office space for the project.

The design concept aimed to make both parts of the building appear as a unified project by incorporating the facade style of the original restaurant building into AQGD Villa.

One notable feature of the original building was the multi-level layout on each floor, interconnected by staircases adjacent to an open three-story atrium. This design created a seamless and flowing connection between spaces and added visual interest. The central atrium also facilitated vertical connectivity between floors and allowed natural light to penetrate through the sky light on the roof.
