This is a two-story old townhouse that is over 30 years old. It underwent renovation due to the limited interior space not being sufficient for the number of household members and problems with the electrical and plumbing systems, which had deteriorated with age.

The architect proposed an extension of the front of the house with two additional floors. The lower floor is used for parking, while the upper floor is converted into a new bedroom. The interior space was improved to be more functional, well-lit, and well-ventilated.

One challenge of this house was the lack of space to place the air conditioner's condensing unit, which necessitated its placement at the front of the house, resulting in an unattractive appearance. Therefore, the architect introduced a steel box as the primary material for the building's facade. This choice was not only cost-effective but also served the purpose of filtering sunlight, reducing heat, and providing privacy to the household members.

The steel box structure also conceals the condensing unit and allows for proper ventilation to dissipate the air conditioner's heat.

This transformed the house into a reflection of simplicity, utilizing a limited budget to create a beautiful design and maximize functionality in the available space.
