111 House was conceived from the homeowner’s desire for a versatile space—one that could accommodate family relaxation, shared meals, and small gatherings with friends. The original two-story house lacked a unified space for such functions, prompting the creation of this new riverside pavilion.

Set along a wide canal and surrounded by a lush garden, the site offers a tranquil atmosphere that became central to the design approach. The single-story structure features floor-to-ceiling glass walls and sliding doors, allowing for uninterrupted views and natural ventilation, while enabling flexible transitions between interior and riverside spaces.

A series of semi-outdoor elements—covered walkways, an open terrace, and a long linear stair—link the new pavilion to the original house, encouraging fluid movement across zones. Importantly, the riverside edge remains unfenced, reflecting the owner's intent to dissolve boundaries between house, garden, and water.

More than just an annex, 111 House is a spatial experience that invites its inhabitants to live with, not apart from, nature.
